Special Obligations

Special obligations are functions assigned to the Company by decision of the State.

The Company’s special obligation was the storage of the State Reserve stocks.

The Company was the only enterprise that met the requirements established by the State Reserve Law for the responsible custodian of the State Reserve and was therefore qualified to store the State Reserve stocks of agricultural and food products. The quantities of these stocks constitute restricted-access information.

The Company was entrusted with this special obligation by a Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, which is classified as restricted-access information.

In performing these special obligations, the Company did not receive any funding or grants. Under a Storage Agreement concluded with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania, the Company received remuneration for storing the State Reserve stocks, depending on the quantity of the reserves held in storage. At the same time, the Company was required to ensure that the stored reserves met the established quality parameters. In 2023, revenue from special obligations accounted for 1.23% of the Company’s total revenue.

Since October 2023, the Company has no longer carried out special obligations and does not perform any other functions assigned by the State.
